2000 ONLINE
Online (Ingest & Prep)
All media must be delivered 3-5 days before work begins to avoid delays. A 1-hour minimum ($350/hr) is charged for content ingest, with additional time billed as needed. Changes after turnover, including updated notes and EDLs, will incur additional charges. Missing or incomplete turnover materials will result in additional charges per the rates in the proposal if received after work has begun.
Online Conform
Hours cover conforming, basic edit correction, cleanups, export of approval screenings, and visual effects drop-ins.
VFX Pulls (incl. Export)
Include preparing and delivering all materials required for visual effects creation. Conforming and verifying the timeline, pulling high-resolution plates, organizing associated media (e.g., mattes, alphas), managing proper color settings and frame accuracy, and creating detailed shot logs or reference files as needed.
Client Data Uploading (Hardrive/Cloud)
Transferring project files and footage to client or vendor-provided secure storage (e.g., hard drives or cloud services). Due to the variable transfer speeds of client-provided storage, this service is billed at an hourly rate with a 1-hour minimum.
Paradox Data Uploading /Hosting (Cloud) 5-day Cycle
Transferring project files and footage to Paradox Post’s high-speed cloud services. Hosted footage will remain available for download for up to 5 days.
File Creation & Posting (Frame.io)
Host various file formats and versions for review, feedback, and approval, facilitating seamless collaboration and communication across the post-production team.
3100 Color
Color grading
The total hours in the color package will be used for establishing looks, pre-color, final grading, updating grades on visual effects and revisions, as well as approval screenings. Client can attend or not attend (remote client session require additional fee). Color rendering does not go against the hours in the color package. Package includes one export of colored renders for finishing, additional request will be charged hourly under deliverables.
Additional Color Hours (weekdays)
This could include HDR Trim passes, client color tweaks, outside of the initial color grading daily package.
Client Remote Color Session
Facilitating a live, interactive color grading session with clients over a remote connection, allowing for real-time feedback and adjustments. Paradox is not responsible for internet connection on client side.

Sound Design
Sound Design to constitute a Fully Filled M&E for that content
Prelay - Edit Dialogue, Music and Production FX
Prepare and organize audio elements for mixing, including cleaning and syncing dialogue, aligning music cues with proper fades and transitions, and enhancing production sound effects.
4000 Labor
Post-Production Producer
Oversees and manages all aspects of the post-production process, ensuring the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets the client’s creative vision. They coordinate with clients vendors and the post-supervisor to streamline communication, oversee deliverables, and ensure the highest quality final product is achieved.
Post-Production Supervisor
A Post-Production Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the post-production process, ensuring all technical and creative workflows run smoothly. They coordinate with editors, VFX artists, sound designers, and colorists, provide regular updates to the post-producer and client, and troubleshoot any challenges that arise.
Visual Effects Supervisor
Oversees the creative and technical execution of all visual effects for a project. Collaborate closely with the director, cinematographer, and post-production team to ensure the VFX align with the creative vision while meeting technical requirements. Responsibilities include supervising on-set VFX needs, providing guidance to artists, reviewing work for quality and accuracy, and troubleshooting any challenges. The VFX Supervisor ensures all effects are seamlessly integrated into the final product.
Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking.

The remaining 50% balance is due before delivery of the final assets for the project.

Deliverables will not be released until the account balance is settled.

Payment can be made via bank transfer, check, or credit card (a processing fee of 4% will be applied for credit card payments).
Terms & Conditions

Scheduling & Cancellations:

Confirmed bookings require a 50% deposit.

Cancellations must be made in writing and sent via email to your designated Paradox Post contact.

Failure to reschedule or cancel within 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the day rate.

Cancellations within 5 business days of the scheduled start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If we are able to re-book the time, cancellation fees may be waived or reduced.

Challenge Policy:
-
Any booking for services made by the customer who initially has first hold status, will be informed of their position by the company when their booking is made. A customer with a first hold will be considered to have the priority position by the company, followed by second hold, etc. At any point a customer can confirm their booking if in first position for the time they have booked. Where a customer has a booking which is not in first position, that customer may challenge those holds with priority over theirs. The customer in first position must respond within 24hours (excluding weekends) of a challenge to their first hold booking. The company reserves the right to award the time allocated in a booking to the challenger should the customer not be in a position to confirm their own booking, or if they fail to respond within the 24-hour period.

Customers may only challenge if they are ready to confirm their booking (pay or play). A booking is considered confirmed once it has successfully completed the challenge process and a purchase order and/or guarantee of payment for a booking is confirmed. If the challenged booking is cancelled by the challenger, the challenger will be liable to pay for all the time challenged.

Turnover:

If the show is changed by the client after turnover, the digital ingest of the conformed client version will be charged separately at a rate of $350 per labor hour (1 hour minimum). After the minimum charge, additional billing will be in 30-minute increments.

In the event of picture changes after turnover, both conforming notes and a new EDL must be provided. All editing and conforming caused by the picture changes will be billed over and above the package price based on rates as stated in the proposal.

If any of the requested items for turnover are not provided to Paradox Post, client shall be responsible for the additional work incurred due to insufficient materials at the rates stated in the proposal.

If the show is received by Paradox Post after nine a.m., the next day is to be considered the first day of turnover. Late turnover charges will be incurred.

Confidentiality:

Services and rates quoted are confidential and for the specified project only.

Storage:
-
All project files will be deleted 30 days after final delivery, unless otherwise arranged. Storage fees of $40/GB per month will apply after this period.

Outside Vendors
All assets should be QC'd and delivered from the client to Paradox. If Paradox needs to manage incoming assets from outside vendors, then a dedicated Paradox Post Producer is assigned to the project. All communication with vendors will be managed through the client to ensure clarity and alignment. Neither Paradox Post nor its assigned producer is responsible for monitoring or ensuring that outside vendors deliver content on time or that their materials meet the required project specifications.

Vendor Deliverables:

All deliverables from outside vendors must be pre-approved by the client prior to being submitted to Paradox Post.

Any delays, errors, or incomplete/inaccurate materials caused by outside vendors are the sole responsibility of the client and/or the vendor.

Paradox Post will not assume responsibility for delays or additional costs resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or late materials provided by the client or their subcontractors.

Impact on Schedule:

Any changes, delays, or errors stemming from outside vendors may impact the overall project timeline and/or budget. Paradox Post will make every effort to adjust and accommodate changes but reserves the right to quote and bill for any additional work as a result of such delays or issues.

Liability:

Paradox Post assumes no liability for any delay in project delivery caused by outside vendors or subcontractors failing to meet agreed timelines or specifications.

The client assumes full responsibility for managing their vendors' compliance with project requirements, including but not limited to timelines, formats, and approvals.

Credit Attribution:
-
"Color by: Drew Tekulve" or equivalent credit will be provided, with Paradox Post listed after the editor and post team.
-

Additional Fees:
-
Shipping, meals, transportation, or miscellaneous expenses are not included and will be billed as used, with a 35% administrative surcharge for external vendor costs.
-
Overtime rates and weekend/holiday bookings will be billed at 1.5x the standard rate for hours worked beyond 9 hours/day, and 2x the rate after 11 hours/day.

Liability:

Paradox Post is not liable for delays caused by incomplete or inaccurate materials provided by the client or subcontractors.

Work beyond the agreed-upon schedule or requirements will be re-quoted and billed accordingly.

Unused Hours:
-
Unused hours within a package are non-refundable and hold no monetary or trade value.

All other terms and conditions of performance, not discussed within this agreement, but described at
http://www.paradoxpost.com/page/terms shall apply.
Commencement of work described in this agreement shall be deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions of this
proposal.
